CBR1000RR-R (2020-2023) - Winglet Integration and Track Compliance

This generation of the Fireblade is a complete departure from its predecessors, featuring MotoGP-derived technology, including factory winglets.1 The race bodywork is engineered to work seamlessly with these aggressive aerodynamic features.2

1. Essential Race Fairing Components & Features:

The full kit is designed to eliminate all road-legal components:

  • Winglet Integration (Mandatory): The upper fairing kit must be specifically designed to accommodate the aggressive factory or replica aerodynamic winglets. These are often sold separately but are critical for maintaining high-speed stability and downforce (Source 1.3, 1.6, 2.2).

  • Sealed Lower Fairing (Belly Pan): This FIM/ACU compliant unit is molded to fit tightly to the engine and chassis while containing oil and coolant. Note: Some modifications may be required if retaining the standard exhaust with a catalytic converter (Source 1.3).3

  • Airbox and Ducting: The nose cone and internal fairing pieces are designed to work with the large central ram-air intake, often including self-supporting air ducts for maximum efficiency (Source 1.6, 3.5).

  • Race Seat Unit: The tail unit replaces the pillion seat, lights, and heavy OEM subframe components. It is typically a minimalist shell designed for a high-grip foam seat pad (Source 1.3, 2.4).
